GEOINFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES

The application of geospatial information technologies (Geospatial IT) in infrastructure systems and facilities represents the future and a prerequisite for quality management. It implies the inclusion of various technologies for data management, which, among other things, contain a geographic-spatial component. Geospatial information technologies include: collection, processing, analysis, management and interpretation of geographic or spatial data.

Geospatial information technology finds application in a variety of sectors, including construction, urban planning, agriculture, natural resource management, disaster response, transportation, and environmental monitoring. As technology continues to advance, geospatial information technology plays an increasingly important role in solving complex challenges and supporting decision making when planning infrastructure systems and facilities.

The key components of Geoinformation Technologies are: GIS, Remote Sensing, Global Positioning Systems, Spatial Digital Infrastructure, Geospatial Analysis, Digital Mapping, Geospatial Data Management, Geospatial Visualization and Geospatial Modeling.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a basic component that enables the collection, storage, analysis, presentation and interpretation of spatial data. GIS allows users to create maps, and make decisions regarding the development and management of infrastructure and facilities. Through the area of Geoinformation systems, we perform: spatial analysis and mapping, design of geospatial databases, development of user GIS applications, mapping and processing of mass data through the creation of geoinformation databases for all types of infrastructure, facilities, planning, urban, technical and other bases. GIS provides the possibility of integrated display and analysis necessary for decision-making in planning and design.

Remote detection involves data collection and geodetic surveying from the ground using modern geodetic instruments such as: SLAM (Simultaneous localization and mapping), LASER scanner, GPS and other devices. In addition to the ground, data collection and recording is also done from the air using drone and satellite images that provide information on infrastructure, facilities, land, water and the environment. Team members who are authorized to operate unmanned aircraft use the most modern drones with specialized cameras for data collection, namely: LIDAR, thermal imaging, infrared and photogrammetric cameras, with which we analyze and process aerial images, process LIDAR data, classify data on infrastructure, facilities, use and use of space.

Digital mapping and geospatial modeling implies the creation, management and maintenance of digital objects as well as the creation and interpretation and simulation of their processes in real time. BdBe provides services for the creation of digital twins and replicas of infrastructure systems and facilities, integration of models with BIM and GIS software, asset management, impact prediction, system development planning. Geospatial visualization and implementation of GIS through the formation and consulting on the development of tools and techniques for the presentation of complex geospatial data in an understandable way through the creation of web maps, graphs and interactive models.

Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR & AR)

Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that combines digital information with the real world in real time. This is achieved by overlaying computer-generated images, using the camera and sensors on a smartphone, tablet or through specialized AR glasses. In order to achieve a higher level of interoperability of all project participants and stakeholders, in the process of planning, designing, monitoring and construction, we use augmented reality to project three-dimensional models into the real world.
